Died at sea 27th October 1946. Left Argentina as member of crew s/s "Empire Envoy", 7th October 1944, later transfered to the S.S.Stanburn. On October 27th, 1946, whilst the STANBURN was steaming in ballast from Algiers to Sfax, the British cargo S/S Stanburn sank when striking a submerged object North of Kerkenna Bank, off the Tunisian coast.
