STOWER, John Gifford 

Flight Lieutenant Bomber Pilot, RCAF Sqdn 420 Waddington and RAF Sqdn 142 Grimsby

Native from San Salvador de Jujuy. Shot down in his Wellington (BK278) (QT-C) by German flak on a night mission. POW at Stalag Luft III, was executed by the Gestapo under direct orders from Hitler 31st March 1944 along with 49 other escapees (The Great Escape).
