Killed on active service 15th December 1941 (age 24). His Wellington (X3170) dived into the ground near Upton on a night training flight, all were killed. Son of George Leopold Carlyle Gittins and Rosa Elizabeth Magdalene Gittins, of Curumalan, Argentina.
